Funk: Banheiro (Bathroom)

"Banheiro” é uma instalação participativa, site-specific, montada no banheiro do Museu de Arte do Rio, para a exposição "Funk: um grito de ousadia e liberdade". Enquanto utiliza o banheiro, o público pode escrever suas reflexões nas paredes espelhadas. Apesar da liberdade de anonimato, o ato de se olhar enquanto escreve levanta um dilema ético sobre deixar para os outros aquilo que também serve a você. Ao final, com as paredes cobertas de escrita, já não será possível se ver mais.

"Bathroom" is a participatory, site-specific installation set up in the restroom of the Rio Art Museum for the exhibition "Funk: A Cry of Boldness and Freedom" (Funk: um grito de ousadia e liberdade). While using the restroom, visitors can write their reflections on the mirrored walls. Despite the freedom of anonymity, the act of looking at oneself while writing raises an ethical dilemma about leaving behind for others what also serves oneself. In the end, with the walls covered in writing, it will no longer be possible to see oneself.
