Series: Deriva Afetiva
In Affective Drift, Panmela Castro explores life through chance encounters and the freedom to flow between random and predestined moments, building connections within a network of affection.
During her March 2023 residency at Black Rock Senegal, she continued developing the series, creating new works and learning about Senegalese culture. A key connection was with Momo, a French and Wolof teacher, with whom Panmela and her sister Artha bonded over French lessons and discussions on art and culture.
