Entre materialidades e poéticas: as crianças pequenas e o acervo do MACRS: Museu de Arte Contemporânea do RS (MACRS)
The idea of "materialities" is linked to the exploration and re-signification of everyday materials, while the notion of "poetics" is linked to the works, from which it was possible to deduce the political and affective perceptions of the artists in their productions.
The show "Entre materialidades e poéticas: as crianças pequenas e o acervo do MACRS" (Between materialities and poetics: young children and the MACRS collection), which runs until April 21 at the Augusto Meyer Gallery, on the 3rd floor of the Casa de Cultura Mario Quintana (CCMQ), was developed based on the concept of educational curatorship created by professor and researcher Luis Guilherme Vergara. The aim is to make art culturally active and accessible to a diverse public.
To this end, 13 works by 12 artists were brought together in this exhibition, with a view to gender and racial diversity and with poetics and materiality as the main criteria.
