Scopular, Mirrors series, 2022
The Golden Scapular is one of the special pieces of my exhibition “Flaunt is to be Alive”.
Scapulars are symbols of spiritual and physical protection that, together with the entirety of my production, invokes our self-care with the representation of the “bride on fire” (the artist, which in this case is me) and whoever sees herself. A message to take care of and protect ourselves. A special act for those we care about.
In addition to the two images (of the bride/artist and the mirror/who is looking), I recorded on its back the title of the exhibition: To Faunt is to be alive.
