Carollina Lauriano, Vigil series, 2021
Vigils are paintings-memories of happenings that enter the night in Panmela Castro's studio, at times more behaved, and still at other times, accompanied by dancing and drinking. Vigil is about belonging. "Speaking about myself from the mirror of the other: experiences that become politics from this encounter", according to the artist.
Portrait of the São Paulo curator Carollina Lauriano painted during the night of January 23, 2021, live, at the Tríptico studio on Av. Paulista, in the 70s triplex belonging to collector Alex Alard. Carollina researches issues related to women's production, and as a curator, supports the work of new generation artists.
