In the conception of Panmela Castro's Affective Drift, life is guided by meetings by chance, in a process of feeling liberated to float. Moments of encountering that are aleatory and others that were already written. In this series, the artist let herself go by a movement in territories in which she is taken by a network of affections she builds as she goes.

The work is called “African Leaders on Copulates Mirrors” and is an installation made up of a set of 50 mirror paintings measuring 30 x 20 cm depicting female leaders exhibited at the Museum Of Black Civilization in Dakar. It is a work from Panmela Castro's series of copulated mirrors where the public superimposes the image of the leader through the reflection in the painted mirror, as a way of empowering themselves.

Na concepção de “Deriva Afetiva” de Panmela Castro, a vida é guiada por encontros ao acaso, em um processo de se permitir flanar. Rolês aleatórios de encontros improváveis e ainda outros que já estavam escritos. Nesta série, a artista permite-se a este movimento em territórios em que é levada pela rede de afeto que desenvolve no processo de se deixar levar.

O trabalho se chama African Leaderships on Copulates Mirrors é uma instalação composta por um conjunto de 50 pinturas em espelho de tamanho 30 x 20 cm retratando as lideranças femininas expostas no Museum Of Black Civilization em Dakar.
